I was watching Boyz N The Hood the other day. It was the first time I had ever seen the award-winning film. Cuba Gooding’s character is a teenager that works at Fox Hills Mall, which is, or perhaps I should say was, an actual mall. Now it has become the Westfield Culver City. Why the change? Well, some corporate heads probably decided it was time to convert the local ‘black’ mall into a venue for everyone.
I recall walking into Fox Hills a decade ago and realizing I was not the target demographic. You would not find a Forever 21 or Abercrombie & Fitch. But if you needed to buy a snazzy red suit with matching hat and alligator skin shoes, Fox Hills was your place. Anyways, here is Caroline Ray in a risky outing to the new (and improved?) Westfield Culver City.
